Louth Museum is an award winning visitor attraction in the historic market town of Louth, nestling at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds. There are four galleries, a library and a gift shop.

Louth Museum was refitted in 2006, celebrated its centenary in 2010, has won four Renaissance Heritage awards and the Lincolnshire Heritage Museum of the Year.

Louth Museum is now closed until April 2019

Louth museum is now closed for the winter and will re-open again for our 2019 season on:
Wednesday 3rd April 2019 until Saturday 26th October 2019

Although the museum is closed to the public during the winter many of our volunteers will be busy working away behind the scenes. The museum is deep-cleaned, displays are altered and our exhibitions for the 2019 season are being created.

Even though the museum is now closed we will be holding several pre-Christmas Special Events at Louth Museum - so please see below!

SPECIAL EVENTS: November & December 2018

Louth Museum's Famous Ghost Walk! - led by Susan Lewis

Wednesday 21st November

Price £5 per person - Starts at 7pm

Ghost Walk Explore haunted Louth on a ghost walk! Louth Museum's ghost walk is a gentle stroll through the town, stopping at various ghostly locations to hear their stories and discover the scarily strange supernatural tales of mystery and suspense as twilight creeps its way silently through the town’s streets and alleyways. Previous walks have seen the ghost of an old lady, so you never know what might happen on our ghost walk!

So, if you are brave enough to experience the tales of haunted Louth that are as spooky as they are fascinating, then be sure to book early as numbers are limited to strictly 20 people. To book places on our ‘Ghost Walk’ – please email us at info@louthmuseum.org.uk or call Susan on 07402 722728. The meeting place for the start of the Walk will be given once booking has been confirmed.
